Parks and Recreation Board

Join the Parks & Recreation Board! We are looking for one member to join the Board! Please complete the application.

The Van Meter Park Board is a group of volunteers committed to the beautification and enhancement of the community. They oversee the maintenance and improvements of the local parks. They also sponsor the Easter Egg Hunt; Garage/Plant Sale in the Spring; Halloween Fun in the park; – and many other fun activities!

Johnson Park is located on Division Street in the southwest corner of town. The City Park is located at 505 Grant Street adjacent to the Library. The Van Meter Rec Complex located behind Casey’s. Trindle Park is located in Van Meter but is owned & maintained by Dallas County Conservation. 

NEW in 2022!! Memorial Park (the Pocket Park) is located on the corner of Grant and West Street.
