City Administrator Position

The City of Van Meter is seeking applicants for the position of City Administrator. Qualified applicants should possess, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field and three years of experience in local government.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, collegial, and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills. The position will require both strong organizational and administrative abilities as well as a willingness to be very hands on wherever necessary.

This is a full-time position. Evenings and weekends will be required. Salary range is $65,000 to $90,000 per year plus generous benefits including IPERS.
