Boil Advisory – Water Main Break 2/16/25

BOIL ADVISORY

UPDATE - FEBRUARY 18, 2025 7:00am The boil order has been lifted.

UPDATE 9:20PM SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2025 The water main repair on Wilson Street has been completed. Impacted residents should boil water as a precaution. Bring all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth or preparing food to a boil. Boil for one minute and cool before using or use bottled water. The City of Van Meter will notify residents when the boil order is lifted. Notification will be on the City’s website, Facebook page, and posted at City Hall, the Van Meter Public Library, the Van Meter Post Office and Casey’s General Store. Contact Van Meter Public Works at (515) 996-2644 or info@vanmeteria.gov for more information. The boil advisory will be in place for at least the next 48 hours. Impacted residents include those on Wilson Street (south of Elm Street), 2nd Avenue (east of Pleasant Street) and Ellis Avenue (between Elm Street & 2nd Avenue).
